Welcome to Canyon Creek Ranch ! We are a small family owned ranch located in the beautiful oak covered hills of Mariposa County in California’s Mother Lode and historical gold country.
We had been raising commercial cattle in Kern County since 2000 and made the switch to registered Angus cattle in 2004 when we moved our ranch to Valley Springs, in Calaveras County. In 2009 my wife Lori and I started investigating the health benefits of eating grass fed beef. We decided to give it a try and finished one animal on grass to put into our own freezer. The flavor was excellent and the meat was so tender that we were sold on grass fed animals forever. It was then that we decided to start finishing our own naturally raised, grass fed steers and supply them to our friends and neighbors.
To our Shady Oak Ranch customers, we have moved our ranch to a larger ranch in our own beautiful little valley about an hour south of Yosemite and an hour north of Fresno. We may be a little further away but we still want to provide you with the same tasty grass fed beef that we have in the past.
